2006 Changes to K6IS Speedial - K6IS Autopatch Reminder

Speedial - Every member of NHRC gets one free speedial slot for 2006. This
is our repeater service that allows you to have a frequently called
telephone number be preprogrammed into the machine.  You can then "dial"
that number by simply using your 3 digit code. Additional numbers can be
obtained for $5.00/yr each.

Autopatch - Every member of NHRC has access to the autopatch. This is our
repeater service that allows you to enter a code and the telephone number
you wish to "dial", then the repeater controller dials it for you, allowing
you to "speak" from the radio via the telephone. This is push-to-talk, not
full duplex like a cellphone.  It is a great service when you are out of
cellphone reach and need to call someone.

For both of these services and how to operate them, please see a club
officer at the next meeting for an instruction sheet, or for speedial, an
application form. If you are renewing for 2006, there is a place on the
membership renewal form for you to place your telephone number. A speedial
number will be pre-assigned.
